Functions and features of soldering machines

The products of the electronics industry are changing day by day. From the beginning of 3G-4G to the current 5G communication technology, the popular folding screen, wearable devices lightweight and miniaturization, 3C consumer electronics and so on. All need laser welding. At present, laser welding technology and equipment is gradually maturing, and different laser applications are being developed according to different product requirements, such as laser ball soldering machine, laser wire soldering machine, laser solder paste soldering machine, etc.. Currently the market is gradually developing towards laser welding.

        Laser welding is a laser welding technology that uses laser as a heat source to heat up the pads, melt the wire or solder paste, and complete the welding. The main feature of laser welding is to use the high energy of the laser to quickly heat a localized or tiny area to complete the welding. Compared with the traditional hot rod welding and soldering iron welding, the laser soldering machine is characterized by high processing precision, high efficiency, high yield and low production cost. Professional welding software, easy to operate, quick to use; complete modules, flexible combination matching, high degree of automation.

Laser soldering machine for enterprises to save production costs;

1. Laser soldering machine basically no consumables; as we all know, the soldering head welding every year in the heating core soldering head consumables to spend a lot of money, while the laser soldering machine basically no consumables.

2. Solder waste. Before and after each welding, the iron needs to clean up the soldering head on the residual tin, while the laser soldering machine does not need to clean up, you can save a lot of money every year.

3. Technical and time costs. Every time you replace the soldering head, you need to cool the iron before replacement, and you need to calibrate the position after each replacement. Especially the heating core needs to be replaced by people with certain technical operations, and it will be repositioned after replacement, wasting a lot of time and requiring specialized technicians.

From the above three points can be seen, although the purchase cost of automatic laser soldering machine is higher than the traditional soldering machine, but in the long-term production of the factory, the laser soldering machine can save a lot of cost of use and production costs for enterprises.

Compared with laser cutting and laser marking, the development time of laser welding is relatively short, and the process is more difficult. Among them, the issues affecting the spot welding quality of laser soldering machine have become the concerns of customers when purchasing laser welding equipment. The main factors are welding current and energization time, electrode pressure and shunt.

1. Welding current and energizing time. According to the size of welding current and energizing time, spot welding can be divided into hard specification and soft specification. For a short period of time, the specification of high current is called hard specification, which has the advantages of high productivity, long electrode life, small deformation of welded parts, etc., and is suitable for welding metals with good thermal conductivity. For a long time, the specification of low current is called soft specification, low productivity, suitable for welding metals with hardening tendency.

2. Electrode pressure. Spot welding, the electrode pressure exerted on the weldment is called electrode pressure. Electrode pressure should be correctly selected. When the pressure is high, it can eliminate the shrinkage and shrinkage holes that may occur during the solidification of the molten core. However, the resistance and current density of the bond decreases, resulting in insufficient heating of the weldment, a reduction in the diameter of the molten core, and a reduction in the strength of the welded joint. The magnitude of electrode pressure can be selected based on the following factors: (1) the material of the weldment. The higher the high-temperature strength of the material, the higher the required electrode pressure. Therefore, when welding stainless steel and heat-resistant steel, the electrode pressure should be higher than when welding mild steel. (2) Welding parameters. The harder the welding specifications, the higher the electrode pressure.

3. Shunt. In the process of spot welding, the current flowing from the outside of the main welding circuit is called shunt current. The shunt current flowing through the welding area is reduced, resulting in insufficient heating, leading to a significant decrease in the strength of the welded joint and affecting the quality of the weld.
